“We enlisted Steve Edmed’s help with a ‘problem’ fireplace in our old house, which needed a complete overhaul. He provided us with suitable brochures for fire surrounds and suggested an appropriate multi-fuel stove, to solve the problem of an overlarge chimney. Preparation was meticulous, ensuring that when it came to fitting the parts, it proceeded quickly and with minimum disruption. We are delighted with the completed project! It fits perfectly into the room, was checked to ensure everything was working correctly and safely and the room was left clean, tidy and with no addititional decorating needs. Many thanks, ”

“Steve was professional from the start, happy to point us in the right direction, and give guidance on what would/might work for our front room. His knowledge about the safety requirements and his desire to carry out a cctv survey showed his attention to detail, and gave us the comfort we were looking for. The various workmen he uses all turned up on Time, we were updated on next steps at all times and all work carried out professionally and with no mess.”

“Couldn't be happier now, fire on through the Autumn and the heat produced as perfect for the room.”

“My wife and I recently moved into a lovely bungalow as a result of down sizing.we decided that we would like to have installed a log burner. I contacted several companies to see what was on the market for us. Edmed Ltd came along to survey our property, I found Steve Edmed to be very professional from the outset, it was his willingness to please the customer that I decided to have him install the log burner. Measurements were taken and stove size was calculated and price for installation was agreed. The team came and installed the appliance again installed very professionally. The after care service has been first class, and we would certainly recommend Edmed Ltd to anyone who was considering a log burner installation.”

Kind regards Mr s Kelly a very satisfied customer of Rainham Kent

“We wanted a wood-burning stove in our upstairs living room. After consultation with Steve Edmed, he arranged for his builder to rebuild our chimney stack and open the fireplace, and then had a plasterer make good. We visited the stonemason he recommended to choose the surround, which was cut and fitted to perfection. The installation of the stove put heart into a previously boring room. All credit to Steve and his professional team!”

“Edmed Ltd has looked after our chimneys and fuel requirements for a number of years. Recently we broached the idea of replacing our very old-fashioned 1960s brick and tiled open fire with something more compact, clean, efficient and modern-looking. Steve Edmed provided brochures and followed up with demonstrating alternative types, sizes and outputs of wood-burning and multi-fuel stoves at his showroom. From a picture in our heads of what we wanted to achieve, we moved on to the planning stage where Steve advised on the design and building of the new fireplace to take our chosen Parkray woodburner. There followed several home site visits with further amendments, suggestions and recommendations. Edmed provided the complete service, with Steve personally co-ordinating all the services required from start to finish – from the demolition of the old fire to monitoring of all building works, which were carried out by very friendly, efficient, clean and tidy builders. The various stages of work included installation of a new stone hearth, a flexible flue liner with roof cowl, backfilled insulation with vermiculite, brick and block work, spray-painted steel back, top and side plates with finishing strips, and some expert plasterwork. Our original 18th Century oak beam was reused, being cut to size and beautifully cleaned offsite by sandblasting and then oiled to a stunning finish. As you would expect, Edmed demonstrated that they had complied with all current Building Regulations and legal requirements relating to the installation. Included in the service was the provision of a Carbon Monoxide alarm, a relocated WiFi room thermostat, heat-resistant gloves, live testing of the stove, advice on fuels and maintenance and operating instructions. We are delighted to have acquired a very modern, stylish and clean-lined fireplace and we are now looking forward to cold winter nights, sharing the hearth with cats, dogs and family. We would unreservedly recommend Edmed for the planning and installation of fireplaces and stoves.”
